Day Three: American Swear Words Unveiled. (Just kidding, Mom!)
The morning was spent by the river, going on Arnaud's Memory Tour at Mouse Mountain. (....Monsouris.) Then we wandered and explored, and had lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant with Arnaud and his nice friend Benedicte. We soon learned that American swear words are totally acceptable for a conservative French boy to say to his conservative French mother. Then we ate macaroons.
The afternoon, we went to la Place de la Concorde, Arnaud almost got run over by a bus, and we learned French slang. Wesh gros!
Today, (Day 4) we boarded a plane to Stuttgart, Germany, waved farewell to Arnie (God bless his soul. Just kidding, he didn't die. But he did put up with us.) And now here we are. In a gorgeous house, eating Sloppy Joes, watching movies that involve Ryan Gosling and catching up on facebook. We are going to Heidelburg tomorrow and then even bigger and better adventures the day after. 0-dark-thirty, baby!
